October 10—26, 2008

Something old...This 1941 play is well-known to theatre-goers and movie-lovers alike.

Just in time for the Halloween season, GLCT presents this classic romantic haunting.

Novelist Charles Condomine invites an eccentric, breezy lady medium into his home in order to learn the language of the occult. Little does Charles or his lovely second wife, Ruth, dream that the seance staged by the medium will summon back Charles' first wife. That mischievous lady from beyond appears and torments Charles, who alone can see or hear her. She has a ghostly plot to get Charles into an automobile accident and make a ghost of him, to join her. Mistakes occur, however, and it is Ruth who takes the fatal automobile ride and passes on only to return with the first wife to team up against Charles.

Tickets $13 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and juniors (under 18).
Showtimes: Friday & Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m., Sunday afternoons at 3:00 p.m.

Nelson Wilson (Charles:)  Following a professional theatre stint, Nelson directed or performed in numerous shows in this area. At GLCT, he began as a chorus member in Annie, then went on to direct The Mousetrap, I DO! I DO!, and They’re Playing Our Song. Also at GLCT, he put his ‘heart’ into Benny Van Buren in Damn Yankees, played Ernie in Neil Simon’s Rumors, and performed in Sweet and Hot: The Songs of Harold Arlen. In 2006, Nelson played three out of the six roles in GLCT’s production of Sylvia. Most recently here, Nelson was Herbie in last year’s production of Gypsy. Thank you to Miss Penny and Little Bit for their support!
Laura Jones (Ruth) celebrates returning to GLCT, having previously performed in Little Women, Enchanted April, and Much Ado About Nothing. Laura’s other recent roles include Jean Perkins in Funny Money, and Agnes in The Shadow Box. Laura is a graduate of Northwestern University’s theatre program and Indiana University’s School of Law. Laura would like to thank her husband Keith, and children Alex and Veronica for their support and encouragement.
Judy Sizemore (Elvira) earned her BA in Theatre at Northern Illinois University, and spent the next 20 years in Chicago. Favorite roles include I’m Not Rappaport, Murder at the Howard Johnson’s, Pippin, The Women, Ten Little Indians, Bye, Bye, Birdie, Rumors, The Gingerbread Lady, and Playing Doctor, the show where she met her husband. Judy is also a certified makeup artist and costume designer. Thanks to Bill for asking her to do this role, Josh for his encouragement, and God for His amazing creativity. ¡Es mi Rey Jesús!
Janette Oswald (Madame Arcati) is happy to return to the stage after a six year absence, and excited to do so with the great people here at GLCT. Janette has a BFA in Acting from Baylor, and was last seen as Ivy in Critic’s Choice at Frisco Community Theatre. She has worked for Dave & Buster’s for almost ten years. Since she began acting in 1975, Janette has played lots of parts, but her favorite role is that of Carl’s wife.
Pam Lack (Edith) makes her second appearance at GLCT, recently performing in the 2008 production of Oklahoma !.  Previously, she was seen in Trietsch's production of Just Beyond and is excited to be working again under the direction of Bill Sizemore. "Bill, you unleashed this monster!" Pam sings with Grace Community A/G's choir and praise team and The Musical Feast Choral Society. Thanks as always to Kent for his support and encouragement!

He feels honored to be working with this outstanding cast and thanks Bill Sizemore for his insight, direction and leadership.
Bill Sizemore(Director)is delighted to be directing here at GLCT. He most recently directed Just Beyond at Trietsch Methodist Church shortly after portraying “Herod” in Jesus Christ Superstar, last September. Originally from Chicago, some of Bill’s directing credits include productions such as Redeemer and Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness? with his wife Judy as founders of 25th Hour Productions. Other credits include Portraits of Christmas, The Power of His Love, Some Enchanted Evening, Ebenezer, The Shadow Box, Plaza Suite, My Three Angels, Romantic Comedy, and Playing Doctor, all in the Chicago area. It changed Bill’s life to realize God’s gifts are not to us, but rather through us to the world. He’s thrilled to see his wife Judy back on the boards and to have his son Josh involved with this production. Their love and support is unmatched.
Connie Salsman (Stage Manager/Producer) continues her efforts in the background to make every show at GLCT something to be proud of and to rejoice in. This show marks a great start for 2008! She is always thankful to have the love and support of her husband, Rick, and for the patience of her family.
John Damian Sr. (Technical Director & Lighting Designer) has had the pleasure of working at GLCT for nearly ten years.  John has been an avid lighting designer for many shows including To Kill a Mockingbird, The Sound of Music, Cactus Flower, The Rainmaker, Nuncrackers, Enchanted April and 84 Charing Cross Road.   He has worked sets, lights and the many renovation projects for the theatre.  John realizes that without his wife and family’s support, he would not be able to continue to enjoy this wondrous adventure.
