Greater Lewisville Community Theatre

Silver Celebration Season

Proposals

by Neil Simon

February 8–24

This delightful memory play recalls the last gathering of the Hines family at their retreat in the Poconos. It's the summer of 1953, and a time of animated romantic entanglements that overlap all on one afternoon. With the arrival of each character, audiences experience both comic hilarity and heartbreaking honesty.

Tickets $13 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and juniors (under 18).

Marilyn Twyman (Clemma Diggins) is excited about her first performance with the Greater Lewisville Community Theater. Her previous performances include Tituba in The Crucible, Cotton Patch Gospel, Big River, Hattie in Kiss Me Kate and most recently a Citizen of Japan in The Mikado. Marilyn would like to thank Alan for giving her the opportunity to take on the colorful role of Clemma. It has been a wonderful experience and she has enjoyed working with each of the cast members.
Terry Ross(Burt Hines) returns to the theatre after a six year hiatus.  I would like to thank my wife, my family, my friends and co-workers who encouraged me to get back into acting.  I have the pleasure of working with a great cast,  Director and stage manager.  And to Erin: thanks for a great set.
Emily Roberts(Josie Hines) appears in her first production for GLCT. She has recently worked with Mesquite Community Theater, AmeriStage Players, and Rockwall Community Playhouse. By day, she is a small animal veterinarian practicing in Allen, where she lives with her 4 spoiled pets. Emily’s next project is her March wedding to Bobby Cole, aka Vinnie Bavasi.
Alex Manch (Kenny Norman) is making his debut at GLCT. Some of his favorites roles include: the Bookseller in Beauty and the Beast at Garland Civic theater, Rodriguez in Take Me Out at Water Tower, various roles in Southern Baptist Sissies at Uptown Theater, and ensemble dancer in both Hello Dolly and Thoroughly Modern Millie with Garland Summer Musicals. He thanks his many great teachers at KD Studio, God for wisdom, skills, and talent, and all friends and family that have supported him through his decisions even the wrong ones.
< Suzy Dotson ((Annie Hines Robbins))is thrilled to make her debut at GLCT after performing as Martha Arable in Charlotte’s Web in Coppell. Suzy and her husband, Jim, recently moved to Texas from Kansas where she was very active in the theatre community. Some of her favorite roles have been Belinda Blair/Flavia Brent in Noises Off, Barbara Smith in Run for Your Wife, Mrs. Bennett in Pride and Prejudice, and Kate Sullivan in Other People’s Money. Suzy would like to thank the cast and crew for this opportunity, and her family and friends for their love and encouragement.
Christopher Wehkamp(Ray Dolens)) has performed on stage since the time when his mother was sewing his costumes. After a decade hiatus, Christopher is thrilled to be on stage again. He would like to express his gratitude to his courageous fiancée Sarah, who has taken his character’s stage-kisses in stride. Of course, she hasn’t seen the play yet.
Bobby Cole(Vinnie Bavasi) has appeared in many productions around the metroplex. This is  the second time he has played "Vinnie" and describes it as a "Scrumpdillicious" role. Favorite roles include, the Creature in Frankenstein and Alan in Equus.  He is engaged to Josie played by Emily Roberts and they will be married in  March. By day he is a Electronic Systems Designer, and manages his son's career (Skipper on The Disney Channel’s As The Bell Rings).

Robert Paul (Lewis Diggens) was last seen on the GLCT stage in To Kill a Mockingbird. He has appeared in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Godspell, Last Supper, The Music Man, Come Back Little Sheba, Hat full of Rain, Hallelujah Anyhow, Practice What You Preach and several others.
