Saturday, February 12, 1-5pm
Sunday, February 13, 6-10pm

Appointments are not necessary. Auditioners will be seen in order of arrival.
Callbacks are not scheduled at this time but will be scheduled as needed.

NOTE: GLCT is requiring a fully Covid-19 vaccinated cast and production team. Audience members will be asked to wear masks during the performance. But the cast will not wear masks on stage during the performances.

We’re looking to cast salt of the earth type people. Actors with non-traditional hair color, and tattoos are strongly encouraged to audition. Be you and bring all of you to the audition. We are open to non-traditional gender casting with all roles except for the role of Jesus.

We would also like to see actors who play various musical instruments in some roles and would like you to bring your instrument with you. It is NOT a requirement to play an instrument to be part of the cast, but is an option we’re considering.

Bring a list of all conflicts from March 1 – May 8 with you to the audition.

All performers and musicians will receive a stipend for the production.

Performance Dates/Times:

April 15 – May 8

Sunday @ 3:00pm

Music Direction: Shane Hurst
Direction & Choreography: Bill Sizemore

  • If you do impressions/voices/imitations, please be prepared to show us what you’ve got.

Jesus: Must be the most charismatic individual in the cast. High energy, charming, funny, gentle but with strength. He is the sort of person others instinctively follow.

John The Baptist/Judas: He/she has attributes of both Biblical figures: He/She is both Jesus' lieutenant and most ardent disciple and the doubter who begins to question and rebel. Like Jesus, he/she is also charismatic, but in more of an overt revolutionary way. He/she is the most "serious" and intellectual of the group, though as with all the actors, he/she must still possess a good sense of physical comedy.

Nick: Very high energy. Impish and playful.

Telly: Not the brightest in the bunch, he/she is a little slow on the uptake. But there is a great sweetness and innocence about him/her. Because he/she sings "All Good Gifts" must be a very good singer.

George: The comedian. The one who can do a hundred voices and imitations.

Anna Maria: A bit rough around the edges, but basically open and vulnerable. Perhaps the youngest of the group. The first of the group to commit to following Jesus in the song "Day by Day."

Lindsay: The confident one, the show-off. The first one to volunteer, sometimes jumps in before really understanding what's going on.

Uzo: The shy one. Sometimes a little slow to get things, but when he/she does, he/she commits all the way. Has an earthy kind of warmth to him/her.

Morgan: Sassy and slightly cynical, the most urban of the group. Also the "sexy" one, but her sexiness contains a large element of put-on.

Celisse: The class clown. Goofy and a cut-up.
