Show Synopsis:

Nick is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida. That doesn’t mean his family isn’t still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he’s been offered a dream job. The job he’s been waiting for—marketing executive—would take him away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. He tells them. The news doesn’t sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely—and single—Caitlin O’Hare as bait…

Audition Date Details: In-person auditions will be held Friday October 7th from 7:00pm-9:00pm & Saturday, October 8th from 11:00am-1:00pm. 

Callback Dates: Tentative callbacks will be held Monday October 10th from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

Audition Requirements: Please prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue.

Roles Available: Aida - Nick’s maternal grandmother, a woman in her seventies. Aida equates care and food with love, family, and home. 

Caitlin - A nurse, a charming woman in her late twenties/early thirties. Caitlin is looking to re-enter the dating scene and is set up with an unknowing Nick on a blind date. 

Emma - Nick’s paternal grandmother, a woman in her seventies. She found true love with Nunzio and wants nothing more than for her Nicky to have what she has.
